Location
We think we've got one of the best locations in Whistler Village, it's a 4-6min walk to the ski lifts, past all of Whistler's bars and restaurants. However, we're in one of the quieter areas of the village so you can still get a good night's sleep before hitting the slopes!

Our Guide To Whistler
Skiing Whistler
Here's our favourite Whistler ski runs:
Peak to Creek - We've had some of our best runs down this (and some of our worst)! If it's a clear day and the freezing level has stayed low, then it's well worth a run down. We had one day where we had untouched powder top to (almost) bottom with barely a soul in sight. Conversely, we've had one day where the top was shrouded in thick fog and another where the bottom half was rock hard icy chunks all over the place!
Upper Dave Murray Downhill - It's a perfect black run for an adventurous intermediate, not too steep and generally fairly quiet, but steep enough to get some decent speed up.
Whistler Bowl - If there's fresh powder, get up here and you'll have a whale of a time!
Cougar & Ego Bowl - These are nice "warm-up" runs but the Emerald chair can get very busy
Skiing Blackcomb
Although both mountains are great, we slightly prefer Blackcomb to Whistler, here's our favourite Blackcomb runs:
Crystal zone - This includes Ridge Runner, Trapline, Backstage Pass, Rock'N' Roll, Twist & Shout. The whole area is great fun and generally quiet. The only downside is the Glacier Road run-out which is a little flat so not great for snowboarders.
7th Heaven zone - On a clear day this is the place to be, but if the clouds have closed in, because the upper half has no trees it can be tricky to find your way. You can lap this for hours, especially after fresh snow.
Blackcomb Glacier - This is one of my favourite spots after a fresh dump, take the Showcase T-Bar up then it's a 10-15min hike (depending on your fitness levels) and then you've got a huge bowl to play in!
Springboard/Cruiser - Although these are marked as blue, they are almost as steep as the Upper Dave Murray Downhill on Whistler, so good for intermediates who are about to try black runs
Bars & Restaurants
Here's our favourite places to eat and drink in Whistler (no particular order). They're all in the village (so 5-10mins walk from the condo) unless otherwise stated.
Amsterdam Cafe & Pub - Great for apres and into the night, good beer & grub with a relaxed/party atmosphere.
Beacon Pub & Eatery - Big patio opposite Amsterdam, a good alternative if you can't get into Amsterdam.
Brewhouse - Opposite the condo, great micro-brewery with a couple of pool tables.
Brickworks - Nice bar with very good beer, but can be a bit quiet and lacking atmosphere since it's slightly off the main drag. Does make it a good backup option if the others are too busy for you though.
Dustys - Great BBQ place, but as it's in Creekside, best bet is to go there at lunch or finish up early there and then take the Creekside gondola back up and have a leisurely ride back to the Village.
Garibaldi Lift Co (GLC) - Right at the bottom of the lifts (on top of the Whistler Gondola), good spot for apres but does get busy as a result.
Gone Village Eatery - Good spot for breakfast if you can't be bothered to cook!
The Keg - Great steaks here, only downside is that the lighting is quite low, so if you're sleepy/jetlagged, it can be tricky to stay awake with the combination of that and a stomach full of meat!
La Brasserie des Artistes - Another good breakfast spot
Longhorn Saloon - Another good apres spot at the bottom of the lifts (opposite GLC)
Merlins - This place has the full-on apres experience with people dancing on tables in ski-boots etc. It also serves the biggest portions of nachos you've ever seen! It's at the bottom of Blackcomb, but it's only a short walk from there back to the Village.
Peaked Pies - Phenomenal Aussie pies here, well worth stopping in on the way back from apres for a bite!
Splitz Grill - THE BEST BURGERS IN TOWN! No word of a lie, this place does some of the best burgers I've ever had.
Tapleys Neighbourhood Pub - This place is renowned as a "locals place" and is always packed and has a great relaxed/party atmosphere.
Zogs Dogs - We love this place so much, it almost made us miss our plane home one year!
